Coloradans for Utah Wilderness is one of the newest groups to
join more than 200 member organizations nationwide that belong
to the Utah Wilderness Coalition. Our goal is to permanently protect
as wilderness all of Utah's remaining BLM public lands that qualify
under the 1964 Wilderness Act. To this end we need a strong support
network in our state.
In the past few years, over a hundred Colorado activists have
phonebanked our representatives, attended BLM hearings, protested
at Conoco's headquarters, helped with mapping projects, written
hundreds of letters, and made countless phone calls on behalf of
Utah wildlands. With organized members, we have more clout and
we are more effective at fighting for Utah Wilderness.
There are no dues to join our group. We only ask that you commit
to one action per month in support of Utah wilderness. You will
receive an email update every month that will include a list of
actions that are most pressing. They may include writing a letter
to the editor, making a call to your Representative's office, spending
a couple hours at a phone bank, or whatever else needs to be done.
